New Chamber Groups Explore Specific Interests

Discover how to deepen your Chamber engagement with new targeted groups and programs. Initiatives like Young Professionals, Lawyers’ Lunch, BizHUB, and the upcoming Women in Business VOICE! Workshops bring together members with common interests to build solid, supportive relationships. 

“We’re always listening to our members’ ideas, and many of our programs are direct responses to their suggestions,” notes Membership & Events Director Gail Eisenberg. “This year is going to be filled with new opportunities for members to connect in new ways. We want to deliver events that people are excited about!”

A sampling of new programs includes:

BizHUB Networking – Longtime members will remember the pre-pandemic SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) lunches at the Chamber office. The new BizHUB monthly meeting is the next generation of SOHO for the way people work now, welcoming remote workers, solo entrepreneurs, salespeople, and others. Facilitated by Jeff Doblin, Forum Financial Group and Lise Schleicher, BasketWorks, BizHUB participants will find mutual motivation, useful tips, and productive networking to support their business growth. Lawyers’ Lunch – Back by popular demand, this networking event brings together attorneys from a wide variety of practice specialties. Over a casual lunch at the Chamber office, participants share news, discuss trends, and build connections that support their clients and their practices. All lawyers are welcome to join the group for their next lunch on March 23: register here.

Women in Business VOICE! Workshops – Women professionals face unique challenges in growing their businesses. The Chamber’s new workshop series, VOICE (Vision / Opportunity / Inclusion / Collaboration / Empower)  will feature dynamic speakers and topics to help participants develop their entrepreneurial strengths. Sponsored by First Bank Chicago, the six-session series will focus on practical skills and strategies to maximize the success of women who are looking to grow their businesses, from sales to side gigs to entrepreneurial enterprises. The first meeting is planned for Tuesday, April 11 at First Bank Chicago, 633 Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook. Watch for workshop series registration details coming soon.

Young Professionals  – Members between the ages of 21 and 43 now have their own group to foster business connections. Launched in February, this bi-monthly networking event will offer a social outlet to help younger members become more involved while also growing their business. Justin Greenberg, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago-Glenview, has stepped up to lead the group with help from Ali Spencer, Trattoria Oliverii and other participants. Registration will open soon for the next meeting on Tuesday, April 18 at The Claim Company.
