Leadership Northbrook Program Deepens Community Connections
June 24, 2024
Learn about the assets that make Northbrook a thriving community, and build bonds with local residents and officials, in the annual Leadership Northbrook Program. Registration is now open for this engaging monthly class that develops the leadership potential of its participants. The eight-session program runs from September - April, usually on one Friday morning each month.
With a legacy going back more than three decades, Leadership Northbrook has educated generations of residents, business owners, and public employees. Participants enjoy unique access to public and private sector facilities during the monthly class meetings, learning about the diverse elements that support the community’s success. Site visits include Village Hall, Police and Fire Stations, Glenbrook Hospital, Glenbrook North High School, Techny Prairie Activity Center and the Northbrook Public Library, along with local businesses like Bernhard Woodwork, UL Solutions, Northbrook Court, and Wiss Janney Elstner Associates.
Chamber Board Member Jeff Lambert, Blue Fusion Partners, was a member of the 2023/24 Leadership Class. "The Northbrook Chamber Leadership Program provides an amazing series of tours and educational opportunities focused on learning about the Village of Northbrook,” reflects Jeff. “It is well organized by the Chamber and presentations are provided by area businesses and non-profits, village government and support departments, our school system and first responder units. I found each and every monthly session to be amazingly informative, well prepared, and welcoming. I learned a great deal and I'm glad that I signed up to participate." Diana Garcia, Express Employment Professionals - Northbrook, shares Jeff’s enthusiasm: “It was fantastic to learn about our community and the leaders that make a difference every day in our community!”
