A Letter from the Executive Director

A Letter from the Executive Director

Summer is always a busy time at the Chamber, filled with events that bring our members together in fun and productive ways. This year is no exception. As I transition to the Executive Director position, after six years as Membership Director, I am grateful to have the support of our wonderful Board and great office team. Our goal is to continue serving our membership in providing outstanding programing and services, and we look forward to collaborating with you all as we move our organization forward.

There are lots of exciting events coming up soon, from our Northbrook Days kickoff next week to our Auction & Taste Fundraiser in October.

One of the things I’m most excited about is the start of our 2022-23 Leadership Northbrook class. This monthly program, running from September to April, gives participants a “backstage pass” to the most important government, civic, and business institutions in the village. As a proud member of the Class of 2016, I learned so much about the innerworkings of this  community – plus, I made great friends in the class too! Space is limited, so if you’re interested in joining or sponsoring the 2022-23 program, please call me ASAP for more information.

As we all know from managing our businesses, change is challenging but it also creates opportunities for growth. This is a time for considering new ways of refreshing and enhancing the programs and benefits that make the Northbrook Chamber such an asset to its members.  I would really appreciate your help in the process!  If you have an idea for a recurring group, a new publication, or an updated approach, this is the perfect time to suggest it.

Please feel free to share your thoughts – you can reach me at kathi@northbrookchamber.org or 847 513 6004.

Check out our upcoming events and be sure to RSVP. We’re looking forward to seeing you!
