Gearing Up for Silver Anniversary Auction & Taste Extravaganza!

This year the Chamber will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its Annual Auction & Taste. Extra steps are being taken to make the event the biggest and best yet. The annual extravaganza will feature more than 130 items up for bid in both live and silent auctions, a lavish sampling buffet prepared by 17 of the area’s finest restaurants, and a chance to win a $1000 cash raffle prize. A festive autumn theme will be the backdrop for the event, which is expected to attract hundreds of Chamber business, civic and community leaders from throughout the North Shore.

Bob Caldwell, Hallmark Homecare and Julie Lerman, Franklin Law Group, have graciously volunteered as co-chairs to make the “silver anniversary” of this event even more special. “The Auction has provided a lot of fun for the community for 25 years. In recognition of this milestone, Julie and I want to help make this year’s Auction the best ever!” comments Bob. “I hope each one of our members will find a way to support us, whether through sponsorships, auction donations, attendance or just purchasing raffle tickets. With everyone’s involvement, we’re sure it will be a night to remember.”

The Auction & Taste is the Chamber’s largest fundraiser and sponsors are critical to its success. Proceeds from the event support the Chamber’s various community service projects such as the recent meal packing event and also to help keep membership dues affordable for all businesses.

Longtime Chamber supporter Allstate is returning as the event’s Presenting Sponsor and Highland Baking has renewed its commitment to sponsor of the $1000 grand prize raffle. The Chamber also gratefully acknowledges Sunset Foods for stepping up to donate the wine.

Many other important sponsorships are still available. The top level VIP Sponsorship offers enhanced exposure with your company logo appearing on event collateral and in Chamber publications, as well as additional visibility at the event. Sponsors at the Major level gain valuable exposure with name recognition in newspaper ads, the newsletter circulated to 1,000 Chamber contacts, promotional posters, the event program and the Chamber’s website. Both levels also include two complimentary admissions to the event.
The Patron Sponsorship is designed for anyone planning to attend the Auction and wants to provide a little extra support for the Chamber. The sponsorship includes two complimentary admissions, five raffle tickets and acknowledgement in the event program.

Members can also play an important role in the event through donations to the silent or live auction, where attendees engage in lively bidding. Popular items, from restaurant gift certificates to hard-to-obtain sports tickets, help raise significant funds for the organization. Items must have at least a $50 value (see Auction Wish List).
