Northbrook Police Dept. and the Park District will hold the annual National Night Out at Meadowhill Aquatic Center on Tuesday, August 4, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Families can enjoy entertainment, food, and swimming; meet local Police officers; and learn crime-prevention tips at the free event.

Youth Services of Glenview Northbrook will hold its annual Rummage Sale on Friday, August 14, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 15, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Businesses who would like to donate furniture, sporting goods and hardware can drop off their donations August 3 – 7, and August 10 – 12 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

The North Suburban YMCA will hold its’ annual “Party at the Y” event on Thursday, August 13th starting at 6:00 p.m. The free event will feature a cookout, live music, and family fun.

Advanced Disposal, sponsor of the Northbrook Farmer’s Market annual “Zucchini Day” on Wednesday, August 19th will make a $300 donation to the charity receiving the most votes in the zucchini decorating contest.

Glenview State Bank will hold a free shredding day on Saturday, August 22, 9 a.m.- noon at the bank’s Chestnut branch in Glenview. Up to 25 pounds of paper documents in paper bags in returnable containers, can be shredded. Drive through service will be provided.

Des Plaines Office Equipment recently announced that it has entered into an agreement with the Scottsdale, AZ based MWA Intelligence, Inc. to sell, install and support ERP systems for its Chicago area clients. ERP business management software helps businesses monitor an array of functions. DPOE is one of only three Extended Partners nationally able to provide this service.
