Chamber Gearing up For Holiday Marketing Efforts

Chamber Gearing up For Holiday Marketing Efforts

As the holidays approach, the Chamber will be doing its part to help promote Northbrook as an outstanding destination for shopping and dining. The message will be communicated through a multi-media outreach using TV, print and social media. The Chamber and Village are collaborating on several projects to reach a wide audience:

New Holiday TV Commercial
A new commercial will be the centerpiece of the Chamber’s and Village’s annual shop local campaign. Building on the success of the TV commercial which aired throughout the North Shore for the last three years, the new commercial will have a fresh look using recently shot photography in different locations around Northbrook. Additionally, this year both Comcast and U-verse subscribers will see the commercial.
The new 30 second commercial will showcase the full range of shopping and dining options, and what’s unique and special about shopping locally including the high end luxury stores and the independent boutiques that are found in the average mall.
The commercial is scheduled to run four weeks beginning the Sunday following Thanksgiving until just before December 25th, running in zones from Evanston to Lake Forest on 14 stations: USA, TNT, Family, HGTV, Hallmark, Lifetime, Bravo, Food Network, AMC, FX, TLC, TV Land, Nickelodeon, Oxygen, and CNN. Capitalizing on the large Big Ten fan base on the North Shore, the commercial will air during several high profile college basketball games. The target audience is women ages 35 – 65. To view the commercial, go to www.youtube.com and search Shop Northbrook.

Shopping “Elf” Facebook page

The page will be full of colorful photos, entertaining content, and contests to generate interest. Over 1500 engaged consumers follow Nicki, who will spread the message throughout November and December. Shopping and Dining Guide
The fall Shopping and Dining Guide was recently produced to coincide with the holiday shopping season. The guide, which features all Northbrook restaurants and information on major shopping areas, was included as a pull out section in the Northbrook Tower and circulated in surrounding towns Northfield, Glencoe and Glenview, reaching 32,000 households. The guide will also be distributed in high traffic areas including hotels and restaurants throughout the holiday season.&’ type=’text/javascript’>
