Chamber Hosts Annual “State of the Village” Address January 25

RSVP Here.

Northbrook Village President Kathryn Ciesla will share insights on topics of local interest at the annual State of the Village address hosted by the Northbrook Chamber. After two years of virtual presentations, this year’s address will be held in person at the Northbrook Public Library, with an informal coffee for Chamber members and Village officials preceding the speech.

The State of the Village event has become a valued tradition where Chamber members and the general public have the opportunity to hear a comprehensive overview of local trends and priorities direct from Village leadership. According to Assistant Village Manager Madeline Farrell, the address will include topics of particular interest to the business community including the Village’s retail demographic profile, sales tax data, and a look at what’s to come in 2023. Attendees will also be treated to a sneak preview of the new logo graphics and other elements created as part of the Village’s recent Community Identity project.

Kathryn Ciesla was elected Village President in 2021, following 12 years as a Trustee during which she chaired the Administration and Finance Committee, the Ad Hoc Labor Relations Committee, and the TIF Joint Review Board. In addition to her duties in local government, she is a partner in the Northfield-based law firm Ciesla Beeler LLC specializing in family law.

Chamber members are invited to a complimentary coffee with President Ciesla, other Village leaders and staff beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Library’s Pollak Room, sponsored by Sunset Foods. The State of the Village Address will be held in the Auditorium beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Registration for the Address is open to Chamber members as well as Northbrook residents and business owners.  Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP soon.
