Chamber Marketing Tools Connect Businesses to Holiday Customers

When planning promotions for the holiday season, remember that your Chamber membership includes a variety of marketing options that are free, effective, and easy to access. The Chamber’s website, social media, and eblasts can extend your message both within the Chamber’s membership and the broader community.

Hot Deals are limited-time offers that members share on the Chamber’s website. These ads promote sale events, special menus, free gifts with purchase, and discounts. Ads can include images, logos, and links. In addition to appearing on the website (and enhancing your business’s SEO in the process), Hot Deals are also pushed out to the Chamber’s Facebook and Twitter feeds.

New for 2021, the Chamber will send a Shopping Spotlight eblast to encourage support for our member retailers. The eblast, planned for November 8, will include logos and website links for all the Chamber’s stores and salons. Links to Hot Deals can also be added to this eblast, so long as the Hot Deal content is submitted by November 4.

For stores and restaurants located in incorporated Northbrook, the Chamber manages promotional programs in partnership with the Village.  The Northbrook Shopping Elf Facebook and Instagram pages feature Shop Local content from businesses that is seen by a highly engaged local audience. Chamber staff will ramp up their outreach to create exciting content throughout the season, starting with Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Stores and restaurants will be contacted to arrange photo opportunities. In addition, the Live Shop Dine Northbrook mobile text program shares Northbrook business info with approximately 3000 subscribers 2-3 times each month. Participation in these programs is, again, free of charge.
