The Chamber is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2021 Business Awards. The three members listed below were selected in early December, based on peer nominations and their extraordinary accomplishments and contributions during the past year.
“Not surprisingly, this year’s honorees are members who stood out in their responses to the COVID emergency,” noted Chamber Board Chair Bob Caldwell, who served on the Award Selection Committee. “In their own unique ways, they exemplify the drive, ingenuity, and dedication that will allow us all to emerge from the shadow of the pandemic.”
The Award Winners are:
FGK Services, Inc., Business of the Year: Nominated by several members for its outstanding customer service, its knowledge of COVID disinfection services in the workplace, and the community spirit of its owner, Frank Karkazis.
Glenbrook Hospital, Corporate Citizen of the Year: Recognized for both its frontline care of the community as a COVID treatment hub and its efforts to educate the public about safety measures.
P.J. Weiland, ActionCOACH, Chamber Volunteer of the Year: Honored for her commitment to Chamber members and helping them adapt during the pandemic and for assisting the Chamber in setting up its virtual programs.
Feature articles in the February e-Newsletter will provide details on the accomplishments and contributions of each of the winners. Congratulations to all our honorees! We look forward to publicly celebrating at next year’s Annual Meeting, which will be scheduled in the first quarter of 2021.
