Chamber Seeks Membership Director

The Chamber is seeking a resourceful and experienced sales professional to lead recruitment and retention efforts. A full time position, the Membership Director is responsible for growing the membership base by developing and qualifying leads, and recruiting new members by explaining the benefits of membership. The position also monitors current member satisfaction and assists with new program and benefit development.

The Membership Director carefully identifies and tracks the progress of prospects and provides monthly reports to the Chamber board. He or she also cross-sells other Chamber services, such as event sponsorships, upgraded memberships, and website advertising. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the Chamber’s Ambassador program, First Friday networking breakfasts and the monthly Business After Hours events. The Chamber offers a small office, positive work environment that encourages collaboration and fosters creativity.

Qualified candidates must have a college degree and at least two years of outside sales experience and demonstrated success in sales prospecting and closure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency are required. Experience in a non-profit or membership-based organization is preferred.
