The Chamber is pleased to announce that Meredith Ade has joined the staff as the new Membership Director. A Northbrook resident for 18 years, Meredith has over 20 years combined experience in media sales and sales support for not-for-profit organizations. In those positions she focused on generating new business opportunities and growing relationships with existing clients.
A graduate of Rollins College, Meredith began her sales career as an Account Executive for several East Coast radio stations before moving to the Chicago area where she worked for Q101 FM. After taking time to focus on her family, Meredith joined the Wescott Elementary School PTO where served as co-leader for the Walk for Wescott fundraiser, an event that raised funds for classroom furniture and technology updates
Since 2008, Meredith has been actively involved with the Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk, one of the top running events in the north suburban area. To support the event, Meredith set up in-school promotions to increase student/family participation. She has also spearheaded cross-promotions with area businesses and secured event sponsors and on-site vendors.
From 2010 to 2013, as a Sales Executive for the North Suburban YMCA, Meredith worked with the Director of Development to partner with local businesses to implement print, on-location and digital advertising campaigns. She was also involved with event-marketing and program-sponsorship for several events such as the annual Halloween Spooktacular event, the 3v3 Basketball Tournament, and Healthy Kids Day.
“I experienced the powerful impact of the Chamber first-hand while working at the Y, where I attended Women in Business lunches, the After Hours and the Expo,” comments Meredith. “I truly enjoy connecting with people and learning about their businesses, so I can’t wait to share with prospective members, all that I know the Chamber has to offer. I am excited to hit the ground running as the new Membership Director!”
