Businesses looking for new marketing opportunities have a valuable partner with the Chamber, using options ranging from print to social media. Any member can increase their visibility by taking advantage of the following at no charge:
The Chamber’s monthly publication “Business News and Views” features a full page of news items on the Business Briefs page, highlighting information from members that often includes events, programs, and fundraisers. Business Briefs is also a great way to announce contact information changes, an award or special recognition. News must be submitted by the 10th of the month and should be no more than 50 words.
Another great way to share news is through the Chamber’s monthly e-blast, which is sent to 1900 Chamber e-mail contacts the first business day of every month. Appropriate information for e-Announcements follows the same guidelines as for the newsletter, but is particularly helpful when announcing classes or programs where follow up is required. The item can include a link to your event or news item for registration or for further information. Videos posted to YouTube can also be included in e-Announcements. News items must be submitted to email@example.com by the 25th of the month. Due to space limitations, announcements should be no more than 40 words.
Research shows that over 90% of Americans shop with coupons. The Chamber offers free on-line couponing, titled “HotDeals,” through its website, which receives more than 3,000 unique visitors each month. Effective offers are quantifiable, with a percentage off, or specific dollar savings. Offers can be short term, for an extended time period or seasonally timed. They can be printed as a coupon or with instructions for how to be redeemed. Members can post the offer themselves or submit it to the Chamber and it will be posted for them. A Hot Deal icon appears next to the member listing, making your business stand out when someone searches by business category on the website. Hot Deals are also prominently featured on the back page of the monthly newsletter for increased visibility, and also appear on the Chamber’s Twitter page.
The Chamber Facebook page is a great way to give you visibility and keep your fellow Chamber members up to date with your latest news. The page features news about upcoming events and programs, with colorful photos and/or website link for more information. Growing each week, the Chamber page has 616 “Likes” with an average of 100 views on each post. Any Chamber member can submit a photo, or information to be posted on the page. Members can also share a post from their page onto the Chamber’s page. As there are no deadline requirements for Facebook, it’s ideal for any last minute news which can be posted on demand.
