Gail Eisenberg Joins Chamber Staff

Longtime Chamber Ambassador Gail Eisenberg will now be even more engaged with the organization after being named our new Membership & Events Director. Gail brings extensive sales experience and a great depth of Chamber knowledge to her new role, which she began in mid-January.

“As a Chamber member, Gail was an outstanding ambassador who constantly referred prospective members and participated in all our events,” notes Executive Director Kathi Quinn. “She’s ideally suited to helping us build and support our membership in this new combined position.”

Gail and her husband Jack first joined the Chamber in 2014 with their family business, Gail’s Brownies. This premium dessert company produces and distributes over 15 varieties of brownies, cookies, and dessert bars.. Launched in 2004 as a supplier of desserts to restaurants and retail outlets, Gail’s Brownies was expanding into the corporate gift market at the time it joined the Chamber. Networking was a vital part of growing their business, and Gail saw the size and diversity of the Northbrook Chamber as a great asset.

“I love networking, and the Northbrook Chamber was the biggest on the North Shore,” notes Gail. “The Chamber gives you great resources, education, and events to grow your business.”

In addition to her family business, Gail worked for several years as the advertising representative for 22nd Century Media and later, the Daily Herald. Her role included sales for the Chamber’s annual Northbrook Community Resource Guide, bringing her into contact with the full range of Chamber members. She also became an excellent source of referrals for new members.

As an Ambassador, Gail helped new members make the most of their experience at networking events, and consistently represented the Chamber at ribbon-cutting ceremonies throughout Northbrook.  She served on volunteer committees for the Golf Outing and Auction & Taste, and provided brownies as coveted prizes at all kinds of events. She was recognized as the 2022 Chamber Volunteer of the Year for her dedication to the organization.

In the new position of Membership & Events Director, Gail will be the main point of contact for prospective members as well as others with questions about their memberships. Gail also will lead planning for all the Chamber’s programming from monthly First Friday Breakfasts and Business After Hours to major annual fundraisers and educational events.

(Fans of Gail’s Brownies have no need to fear: Jack continues to run the family business and Gail will contribute to developing delicious new recipes when inspiration strikes.)

“I’m so excited to be joining the Chamber’s team full-time,” says Gail. “I feel that my experience as a member helps me understand the unique value of this organization, and I look forward to sharing that with more businesses.”
