Golf Outing Registration Now Open!
Dust off your clubs and practice your swing – the Chamber’s Annual Golf Outing is right around the corner on Friday, June 10. Sign up now for a fun-filled day of friendly competition and socializing at Heritage Oaks Golf Club, followed by cocktails, dinner and awards at Marcello’s restaurant.
One of the Chamber’s most popular traditions, the Golf Outing brings together around 175 golfers to play 18 holes in a best ball scramble tournament, while enjoying skills contests and fun activities provided by hole sponsors along the way. The all-inclusive event features a casual pre-golf lunch, a bucket of balls for the driving range, and snacks and beverages on the course. The event is an ideal way to thank clients, reward team members, or build relationships with other Chamber members.
Following the day on the course, players and other members will gather for cocktails and dinner at Marcello’s in downtown Northbrook. In addition to the traditional awards ceremony and raffle announcements, this year’s dinner will include a special tribute celebrating Tensley Garris as she prepares to retire after 20 years leading the Chamber. Dinner is included in the golf registration package; other members are welcome to join in the dinner and festivities for $60.
“The Golf Outing is always a high point of the year for me,” says Bob Caldwell, Hallmark Homecare. “You get to know people in a completely different setting, where everyone is relaxed and having a great time. Plus, I’m looking forward to raising a glass to my friend Tensley at our special dinner celebration. This will definitely be a can’t-miss event!”
In addition to providing a day of fun and networking for members, the Golf Outing also serves as one of the organization’s most important fundraisers of the year. Proceeds from golf registrations, sponsorships, and raffle ticket sales are vital to maintaining the Chamber’s comprehensive services and affordable dues.
“The Chamber’s Golf Outing is unique because it benefits so many participants in different ways,” notes Amy Kahhat from presenting sponsor First Bank of Highland Park. “It combines networking, marketing, and fundraising opportunities in a single engaging, active day. We’re delighted to return as the presenting sponsor for this outstanding Chamber tradition.”
Register for the Golf Outing by May 17 to take advantage of early-bird rates: $200 for an individual golfer, $750 for a foursome. After May 17, registration is $215 for individual, $800 for a foursome. Raffle tickets ($5/one or $20/five) are available for purchase online through June 9, at Chamber events, and at the Outing. A small number of hole sponsorships may still be available; contact Katie Walther, katie@northbrookchamber.org or 847 513 6003 as soon as possible for more information.
