Zengeler Cleaners is serving as a collection site throughout the month of March for the 2018 Glass Slipper Project, accepting donations of gently used prom and formal dresses to help thousands of Chicagoland high school students experience the joy of prom night. The items will help stock “boutiques” where needy students receive individual assistance shopping for their prom. Zengeler will inspect, repair and then professionally clean each dress at no charge. Hunger Resource Network recently facilitated the distribution of over 460,000 pounds of chicken to distribution points in 11 Midwest states, including locations in Chicago, St. Louis, Indianapolis and Detroit. HRN President Dan Jariabka was able to use connections to facilitate the food donation from an anonymous donor to needy recipients.
