No Shortage of Fun at Hot, Sunny Golf Outing

Bright sunshine and 90 degree temperatures set the stage for a day of fun for 170 golfers at this year’s Outing held at Sportsman’s Country Club. Golfers enjoyed a best ball scramble tournament and skills contests throughout the course sponsored by 42 Chamber members. The day was capped off by an outstanding cocktail hour and dinner at Marcello’s.

In addition to the skills contests on every hole, cash prizes were awarded to the top three foursomes for low score. After years of coming close to taking the top spot, the C&D Distributors team came in at 16 under to take the first place. Players included Clark Fideler, Ike Robertson and Dan Singleton from C&D Distributors and JoJo Hebl, Matlin and Associates. With two teams coming in 13 under, a scorecard playoff determined the AA Service Team of Gary Bratko, Bill Del Principe, Shawn Mansfield and John Scullion as the 2nd place winners. Presenting Sponsor Phil Kuhn, Executive Risk Management and his team of Rob Spiro, Windy City Linens, Marty Albert, Albert & Goodman CPAs and Brad Walker, Northbrook Bank & Trust came in third. Ryan Hagan, Korman/Lederer guest, broke John Stenberg’s three year winning streak and beat out all of the competition to win the Putting Contest, sponsored by Allstate.

Winner of the $500 Grand Prize raffle was Rick Stecki, guest of Washburn Envelope. The second prize winner of the $500 gift certificate for Elegance in Meats went to Stephen Barr, Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel. Patrick Hannigan, Junk King and Craig Keller, Allstate won tickets to the UL International Crown Golf Tournament. There were over 50 other raffle prizes generously donated by Chamber members.

Many thanks to the sponsors, volunteers and businesses who contributed their time, products and services including Amplivox, Arangold Corp. and the Northbrook Park District.&’ type=’text/javascript’>
