Nominating Committee Recommends New Board Members

In accordance with the bylaws, the Chamber Board Nominating Committee met recently to consider nominations for the Chamber Board for terms that will begin in 2016. The committee was charged with making recommendations for potential new board members.
Retiring from the Chamber Board at the end of this year are: John Martin, Sandler Training; Barbara Winter, First Bank of Highland Park; Mark Brodson, Lowenbaum Real Estate Partners; and Ken Samson, Dasco Insurance.

The committee members included Ashley Delaney, Whitehall of Deerfield; Glen Weintraub, AA Service; Rose Boushek, Glenbrook Hospital; Rik Blyth, Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel and Paul Kaufman, Shred Spot.
The committee recommended adding the following members to the Board, effective January 1, 2016:
• Holly Allgauer-Cir, Hilton Chicago Northbrook
• Peter Balyeat, Korman/Lederer
• Bob Caldwell, NorthShore SeniorCare

The committee also made the following recommendations for officers: Ashley Delaney, Board Chair; Glenn Weintraub, Treasurer. Caryn Torres, Northbrook Court was nominated to join the Executive committee.

“While we are sorry to see these members retire from the Board as they have provided excellent guidance over their tenure, we look forward to the fresh perspective the new Board members will offer,” commented Ashley Delaney, Chamber Board Chair. “The committee was fortunate to have a number of well-qualified candidates to choose from and selected three that represent important business sectors and offer valuable insights to the board.”

Members wishing to nominate additional candidates can submit petitions, signed by at least 20 other Chamber members to the Chamber President prior to Thursday, November 12th. If no petition is filed, the nominations are closed and the slate of candidates will be declared elected by the Board of Directors at its regular December meeting.&’ type=’text/javascript’>
