Nominating Committee Recommends New Board Members

In accordance with the organization bylaws, the Chamber Nominating Committee met to consider nominations for the Chamber Board for terms that will begin in 2017. The committee submitted its recommendations to the Chamber Board last month.

Serving on the Nominating Committee were: Holly Allgauer, Hilton Chicago Northbrook; Ashley Delaney, Whitehall of Deerfield; Elizabeth Fritz, 22nd Century Media, Jim Lazar, Marcello’s; and Steve Margis, UL.

The committee recommended candidates to replace open spots from retiring member Tom Lange, Morton’s The Steakhouse and Dave Masters, Northbrook Bank and Trust. In addition, other candidates were selected to replace Board members who are unable to complete their terms:

  • Paul Kaufmann, Shred Spot
  • Julie Lerman, Franklin Law Group
  • Allison Mengarelli, The Book Bin
  • Steven Barr, Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel (completing the term of Rik Blyth)
  • Hania Fuschetto, Glenbrook Hospital (completing the term of Rose Boushek)

Jim King, Northbrook Bank and Trust (completing the term of Dave Masters)
The committee also made the following recommendations for the 2017 Executive Committee: Glenn Weintraub, AA Service Board Chair, Marty Albert, Albert & Goodman, Treasurer, Ashley Delaney, Whitehall of Deerfield, Immediate Past Board Chair, and Tom Washburn, Washburn Envelope.

Chamber members wishing to nominate additional candidates can submit petitions, signed by at least 20 other members to the Chamber President prior to the next Board meeting on Thursday, November 10th. If no petition is filed, the nominations are closed and the slate of candidates will be declared elected by the Board of Directors at its regular December meeting.&’ type=’text/javascript’>
