The Village of Northbrook recently announced the appointment of Erik Jensen as the new Assistant to the Village Manager. Previously Jensen worked for the Village of Gurnee as an assistant to the Village Administrator.

United Services by Permaco has moved its corporate headquarters to a larger facility just east of their previous site, to better enhance their ability to service customers. The new address is 46 Sherwood Terrace, Lake Bluff, IL 60044.

UL is partnering with the Northbrook Park District for the annual Touch-A-Truck event at the UL parking lot on Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. At the free event, kids can climb aboard an assortment of construction equipment and emergency vehicles.

The Kiwanis Club of Glenview-Northbrook seeks sponsors for Pretzel Days, their annual major fundraiser. Sponsorships, which range from $50 to $200 help underwrite the cost of the pretzels which will be given away on Sept. 25 and 26. Mail donations to the Foundation at P.O. Box 2831, Glenview. All funds raised go to support children’s programs in the community.

Zengeler Cleaners recently announced the promotion of Oscar Gonzalez from store manager at the Northbrook location to the newly created position of Director of Business Operations for the company. Gonzalez is an 11 year employee with the company, serving as a clerk in 2004 before his promotion to store manager in 2008.
