Time to Update Your Chamber Business Profile!
In August, the Chamber emailed each member asking for a review of contact information, company descriptions, and other important information. Keeping your profile updated ensures that you stay informed about Chamber activities, and helps connect you to potential customers in online searches.
Please review the list of company representatives in your profile and let us know about changes in your staff. Also include email addresses wherever possible so that your team is kept informed about Chamber opportunities. Be assured that the Chamber will not sell or publish personal contact information or email addresses.
This update period is a great time to maximize the effectiveness of your business description, which appears on the Chamber website. Standard members may use up to 600 characters to highlight the skills, services, or products that make their business unique. (Gold and Platinum members may use up to 1200 characters.) Make a good first impression on future customers with text that is current, clear, and informative.
In addition to your business description, check to be sure that you are using keywords to help searchers find you. If there are industry buzzwords or common search terms that do not appear in your description, add them to the keyword list. There’s no need to repeat words that are already part of your business name or profile.
While you’re reviewing your description on the website, consider some of the other opportunities offered by the Chamber to raise your visibility. For example, you can add a special offer to our Hot Deals listings — a free advertising benefit included in your membership. Banner ads and secondary categories are included with Gold and Platinum memberships, and also available at a low cost to standard members.
